A community conversation for parents with lived experience of mental health
Parenting is full on. It can be joyful, exhausting, overwhelming, and everything in between. For many parents, mental health is part of the day-to-day reality, whether that is your own mental health, supporting a child or partner, navigating the system, or carrying experiences from the past.
Parents, Speak Your Mind is a facilitated community meeting for parents who want a safe, respectful space to talk honestly about what it is really like to be a parent while living with mental health challenges in any form.
You do not need to have the right words. You do not need to have everything figured out. This is simply a space to speak your truth, listen to others, and know you are not alone.
Who this is for
This session is for parents and carers who have any lived experience of mental health, including:
-
Your own mental health
-
Supporting a child, partner, or family member
-
Past experiences that continue to shape your parenting
-
Navigating services, schools, or systems as a parent
There is no expectation to share if you do not want to. Listening is participation too.
This is a community conversation, shaped by the people in the room.
