Chris Gambian brings over 25 years experience as a community organiser and public interest advocate as well as a deep passion for fair government and social justice.
At one time a senior trade union leader, he has been a strategic consultant, campaign manager and political candidate.
From 2019-2022 he was Chief Executive of the Nature Conservation Council of NSW where he earned a reputation as an effective public communicator and skilled political lobbyist across all sides of NSW parliament.
Chris's belief in the power of collective action and a government focused on people has brought him to Australians for Mental Health, to build a community voice for change and help solve the crucial problem of system reform in mental health services.
He has been Executive Director of Australians for Mental Health since May 2023.
